Activities Within the Home

Stanfield Nursing Home has continued to provide our regular schedule of activities during the pandemic. All our staff have ensured that each event is Covid-secure and that everyone maintains a 2 metre distance. The Oak Lounge is where most of our activities take place and is regularly cleaned, including the objects that may be used in such activities like pens.

We have recently been preparing our residential care home in Worcester for Valentine’s Day. The people we care for have been using their crafting skills and making hearts from cards and decorating them with glitter and colour! We have then used these creations to decorate the home – which have of course been regulated with Infection Prevention & Control in order to keep everyone safe. Everyone has had a lovely time making them for us all!

Staff and Covid Updates

We have recently said goodbye to one of our Registered Nurses, Helen, who is moving to Wales to start a new period in her life. We are so grateful for all the support and laughter she has given to Stanfield and those we care for and we wish her well for the future!

In keeping with COVID-19 guidelines, all staff are completing Lateral Flow testing twice a week to keep our residents and ourselves safe. Alongside this we are also providing lots of health and safety training which the Government have given us a grant towards as an encouragement to complete testing. We have the continuous support from local professionals and friends and family members who we all remind of the importance of the correct use of PPE, such as the process of donning and doffing.

There has also been an introduction of the Primary Care Network in Worcestershire providing dedicated support for care homes. They aim to become the building block of integrated care and ensure a more sustainable and comprehensive general practice services for residents.
