Inspection reports

As you are no doubt aware, social care is an extremely tightly regulated area. The regulations help to provide the reassurance that some of society’s most vulnerable people receive the care and treatment they have the right to expect.

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the independent regulator of health and social care in England. Their inspectors make frequent unannounced inspections to nursing homes to ensure that high standards are met and maintained.

The latest report from CQC inspectors was written after a visit on 28 March 2008, when we were awarded a 3 star excellent rating, the highest standard attainable. If you would like, you can download this report.

You can also see our listing at the CQC website. Previous reports on a home are usually available on the site. Unfortunately, this is not this is not the case at the moment due to an administrative issue. We recently changed our legal status from "sole trader" to "limited company". This change did not result in any staff changes and did not affect the care we offer our residents. Unfortunately, it did result in all our previous reports being removed from the CQC website. Rest assured, we are working hard to resolve this as soon as possible so that you can access a complete history of the Home.
